Mantras are specific words, phrases or sounds that connect you to deeper aspects of your consciousness where you can systematically enter quieter levels of the mind to reach your natural unworried and alert state. Mantra meditation requires no contemplation and no monitoring of thoughts.

How it works

The Mantra technique is easy to learn but requires specialized interactive guidance. For this reason, it’s taught only through one-on-one instruction by Charlotte Meditation founder Guru Ranjit Deora who gives each student a personalized mantra, specific to his or her needs. The simple technique is practiced 15-20 minutes, twice a day, while sitting comfortably with your eyes open or closed.

You’ll also learn breathing techniques and discuss fundamentals of food and nutrition, based on your personality or tendency ( “dosha,” as known in Ayurveda, the ancient Indian holistic health science).

Mantra meditation is not new. It’s part of the Vedic tradition of India, stretching back several thousand years. It’s an important part of Ayurveda or “The Science of Life,” one of the world’s most ancient systems of natural healthcare and personal development.


The Program Outline

Studio Classes

  • 8 week in-person classes
  • Presented in the comfortable and centrally located Charlotte Meditation Studio in Myers Park
  • Personalized and private 1:1 instruction with Guru Ranjit with over 30 years’ experience
  • Each weekly session is 60 minutes, at your convenience (scheduled upfront after your initial conversation; can be changed weekly to accommodate your schedule so you never miss a lesson)
  • Available any time 8am-7pm, Monday-Saturday
  • Total for the 8-weeks: $950.00
    (Pay in 3 installments: the first half due at registration with the remaining balance due after 3 weeks.)
